ABOUT MARTIN STEER

Martin Steer has circa 30 years experience in the Financial Services Industry - he is a natural leader. He prides himself on being able to drive businesses forward, creating and embedding strategies and business plans whilst bringing that to life for the entire workforce. Martin leads by example, as part of executive teams he helps shape the business, driving the Sales and strategic planning of firms. His unique background of actuarial training and project management leave him well placed to help transformational and evolutional change take place.Martin takes an active role in ensuring new young talent comes into the organisation, in a prior role, setting up and sponsoring the associate scheme to ensure the right young talent helps the business continue to innovate and grow. Martin notes two significant achievements in his career - As Head of Finance at Skandia he was part of the senior management team that took Selestia from a start up company into profitability within 5 years - this then became the engine for Skandia\'s platform business in the Old Mutual takeover, now Quilter.
