ABOUT MIKE GIBSON

I am a Software Engineer at Skipton Building Society, where I design and maintain object-oriented database components within the Jade development environment. In parallel, I am actively developing my expertise in API design and implementation, focusing on scalable and maintainable service interfaces. This work directly supports my growing exposure to cloud-based architectures, as we grow the business towards cloud adoption within Microsoft Azure.My approach to professional development blends formal learning with hands-on experience, allowing me to deepen my understanding of modern software delivery practices. Through API development, I am building practical insight into cloud-native concepts and developing a strong interest in architectural development, particularly around system design, deployment pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.I am motivated to broaden my proficiency across multiple technology stacks while aligning enterprise requirements with emerging technologies.
