Events & Marketing Manager @Discover Halifax

In this role I provide marketing and communications support to Discover Halifax, a Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) as part of the Business Events team. The Business Events team attracts large groups to the city to attend conferences and events, which provides positive economic impacts to the city and helps support Halifax\'s tourism sector. In my role, I am- Executing local events and familiarity (FAM) tours from concept to onsite delivery- Developing large-scale tradeshow strategies that increase booth visitation, and executing those strategies within budget- Creating collateral and destination submissions including proposal templates, capacity charts, signage, one-pagers, and social media content- Developing and executing ad campaigns that build awareness and inspire action- Identifying key messaging and writing copy for web, print, and social media- Sourcing unique and memorable promotional items My skillset also allows me to take on design and video editing projects, ensuring brand alignment.
