ABOUT MORGAN LEHTINEN

Hi, I’m Morgan, the Executive Director of RXN HUB and lifelong builder of chemistry-enabled solutions to our planet’s toughest challenges. My passion lies in helping innovators scale faster and smarter — by designing the infrastructure, strategy, and systems they need to move from lab to market with impact.It started during my PhD, when I became both inspired by chemistry’s potential and frustrated by how often promising technologies never made it past the lab bench. Determined to break that cycle, I founded Micellotech to commercialize a green filtration technology I had developed. But even with access to world-class mentorship and entrepreneurial training, one question kept coming up: where and how do we scale?The truth is, the commercialization journey for chemistry-based technologies is deeply fragmented — lacking fit-for-purpose infrastructure, coordinated support, and clear roadmaps. So I shifted focus from individual ventures to ecosystem-building.Today, as Executive Director at RXN HUB, I represent a national coalition of cleantech stakeholders determined to strengthen Canada\'s clean growth and industrial resilience through the commercialization of chemical technologies. Located in a newly renovated, near-net-zero sq. ft. facility in Kingston, Ontario, RXN HUB is purpose-built to bridge the valley of death for chemistry-driven cleantech. We’re closing critical gaps by providing first-of-its-kind shared lab, piloting and manufacturing infrastructure, cross-sector programming, and commercialization support across advanced materials, energy systems modernization, critical minerals and materials, CCUS and biomanufacturing, The goal is to dramatically shorten time-to-market and reduce capital burn for ventures with world-changing potential.Alongside RXN, I also work as an innovation consultant, professor, and speaker, always focused on accelerating cleantech commercialization and building inclusive, collaborative ecosystems that work.My expertise includes- Multi-stakeholder project development and execution- lab/pilot design, development, and construction- experimental design for chemistry commercialization- venture building and ecosystem designLet’s connect if you\'re working at the intersection of innovation, infrastructure, and impact.
