ABOUT MONICA DONALDSON-BALAN

Building performance engineer and architect with a strong track record in delivering projects focussed on reducing carbon emissions and creating sustainable and comfortable buildings. I have broad expertise across the built environment, ranging from leading energy and carbon research projects at city and national scales, to developing detailed building designs. I am excited about working on collaborative projects and developing solutions that bridge different sectors. One such example is the whole energy system heat decarbonisation roadmaps for the UK, which I led under the Infrastructure Industry Net Zero Coalition, and which was developed to identify the work that needs to be done to achieve Net Zero Carbon in the UK by 2050.
