WORK HISTORY
Vounteer @Mary\'s Meals
At age 16, I began my volunteering journey with Mary’s Meals, an international charity dedicated to providing daily school meals to children in some of the world’s poorest communities. Over the past five years, I’ve remained actively involved through a variety of initiatives:Backpack Collection: During my transition year from school, I visited over 30 primary schools across Donegal to raise awareness of the project, encouraging students to donate school supplies for children in underdeveloped countries. Unfortunately, the backpack project has now discontinued. Fundraising Initiatives: Assisted in the Mary’s Meals charity shop and organized multiple raffles and hamper draws, securing sponsorships from local businesses. These efforts have successfully raised funds to feed and educate children in need (costs £15.90 per child per year ).Community Outreach & Awareness: I continue to support Mary’s Meals by promoting its mission locally and through social media, helping to inspire others to get involved and support children’s access to food and education. My ongoing experience with Mary’s Meals has been invaluable, helping me develop strong communication, fundraising, and organisational skills, while making a meaningful contribution to global education and the fight against hunger.
