ABOUT MOHAMMAD MAADI

Mohammad Maadi was born in Macoo, Western Azarbaijan, Iran, in 1986. He received his M.Sc.(Microelectronics) degree from Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey in 2013, and his Ph.D.(Microsystems and Nanodevices) degree from University of Alberta (UOA), Edmonton, AB, Canada in 2019. He continued his research as a postdoctoral fellow in the same group with the University of Alberta until 2021. He is currently working as a process specialist in Avalon Holographics company starting from March 2021. He was a Research Assistant with METU from 2011 to 2013, where he was involved in ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) design for capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducers (CMUTs). During his Ph.D. and postdoctoral programs he has been involved in modeling, design, fabrication, and characterization of large-scale multi-frequency CMUT arrays with associated electronics for ultrasound medical imaging and therapeutic applications including multi-band ultrasound imaging, microbubble contrast agent imaging, and multi-frequency photoacoustic imaging. Dr. Maadi is a member of the Golden Key International Society, the world’s largest collegiate honor society. In 2016, he was a recipient of the Alberta Innovates Technology Futures Graduate Student Scholarship. He has several presentations in Ultrasonic Symposiums (IUS) from 2015 to 2019 in Taiwan, France, USA, Japan, and Scotland.
