Designing, delivering and analyzing student experience programming for first-year engineering students and making strategic recommendations.Providing operational and administrative management of the first year engineering program and its academic activities.Identifying students at risk or in crisis and proactively connects students with resources and supports as appropriate, including engaging the University\'s Early Alert System.Coordinating the teaching team, through regular meetings and correspondence, to ensure harmonized delivery of materials and messaging and to assist in the dissemination of best teaching practices.Consulting and facilitating discussion with stakeholders, including Faculties and student leaders; Presenting findings and recommendations to the First Year Engineering Chair, and assisting with presenting findings to stakeholder groups through workshops, presentations, written reports, and/or discussion papers.Engaging with students through regular surveys, focus groups, and other means to assess program performance and student satisfaction, and reporting themes and concerns to the First Year Chair and the teaching team.Overseeing the management of the gradebook, and analyzing data to identify and report trends and concerns to the First Year Chair and the teaching team.Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with various departments and faculties with a commitment to the inter, multi, and cross-disciplinary direction of the program.Managing sessional adjunct faculty and teaching assistant appointments, ensuring all information is correct. Managing the current inventory of space and equipment designated to first year engineering, and developing, implementing and managing usage policies, guidelines, and schedules regarding facilities and equipment.Developing and implementing recruiting, marketing, publicity, and development plans for First Year Programs and Program Fair.
