Working with a multitude of faculties, institutes and student clubs, entrepreneurship@UBC activates entrepreneurs and innovators in an equitable and inclusive environment by providing experiential learning, resources, and services directed at company creation, funding and growth.
ABOUT SAMEER SAVKUR
I am passionate about saving the lives of people with minimal healthcare access.I had the proud privilege of partnering with a Humanitarian Aid organization to initiate and execute one of the largest rare disease free drug humanitarian donation program and save lives of over 200 patients of spinal muscular atrophy in India.During my work in the bio-pharmaceutical industry globally, I have developed deep expertise about healthcare challenges in the emerging markets within India, APAC, Latin America, Middle East, North Africa, Turkey, and Russia.I have knowledge and understanding of multiple therapy areas such as Diabetes, Cancer, Neurological Diseases, Rare Diseases, Mental Health, Cardiovascular and Infectious Diseases.In addition, I have had the privilege of expanding access to critical medicines in India, Asia Pacific, Latin America, Middle East, North Africa, Turkey, and Russia by leading growth of existing and established new businesses in many countries in these regions.I have been able to achieve these results through inspiring leadership, strategic thinking, and strong operational execution. I have developed a breadth of diverse leadership and people management experience and capabilities, including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach a team, oversee and guide the work of other cross-functional colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes.
