Japanese-to-English, Korean-to-English and Spanish-to-English translation and subtitling for a broad range of major multinational clients.My role consists of producing high-quality translations and reviewing those produced by other translators - including outsourced vendors - through both bilingual and target-only revision. I also handle conversion between various flavours of English, along with transcription and subtitling, and perform a number of QA checks and linguistic sign-off tasks to ensure that all our work is absolutely perfect. Adhesion to both internal and external style guides is essential, along with using term base and translation memory matches to ensure all clients end up with the document they imagined.As a result of my role I know Trados Studio and its plugins like the back of my hand, along with a number of other translation management systems including CaptionHub, Trados GroupShare and WorldServer among others.
