ABOUT MIKE SNYDER

A passionate advocate of life enhancing technology. When the technically possible is being stretched, I am often at my best. Faced with this situation during production, Carol Burnett was heard to say, “Get me Mike Snyder!” The confluence of technology, stakeholder engagement, and customer success have molded my unique expertise and brought recognition as a top global influencer on the future direction of consumer musical instruments. Innovating, disrupting the status quo, accelerating customer success, and growing market is my aspiration. In my time as a consultant for Roland Musical Instruments, I maneuvered their defining technology and strong market position to propel them into a commanding #1 market position, both in innovation and sales. My passion for technology, understanding of customer needs, as well as nuance of design, is no more evident than in the aDrums brand from ATV. Leveraged out-of-the-box design, disrupting the electronic drum status quo—combining recognizable design elements and highly nuanced sound design, freeing musicians’ creativity and quickly becoming the gold standard of user experience. The aDrums design model is now seen as the future direction of all electronic drums—one where form factor, UI, and sound design work synergistically to create the ultimate UX. My first company, Trigger Perfect, pioneered the design of consumer electronic musical instrument products, including a full line of patented drum sensors. I administered all aspects of product development, manufacture, and go-to-market. Established worldwide OEM distribution deals. In addition to my design, product management, and marketing work, I am a successful writer, educator, and studio musician—Mel Brooks having once exclaimed, “Mike Snyder, you are my most favorite drummer in the world!”
