ABOUT MIKE OWEN

My career in design and web development spans over a decade, growing from print and graphic design into brand strategy and creative direction. I studied Creative Media Production at City of Bath College, specialising in print and publishing, and graduated with Distinction* Distinction*. I went on to complete a BA (Hons) in Creative Media Practice at Bath Spa University, specialising in graphic design before pivoting to custom coded WordPress theme development in my final year, graduating with First Class Honours and the CMP Student of the Year award. Throughout this period, I worked at a print house in Bath, gaining hands-on print and design experience alongside my studies. I also began taking on logo design commissions and creative work for a local news outlet, now named the Bath Echo. I spent nine years at a Bristol-based brand marketing agency, joining initially as a volunteer when the agency operated as part of a non-profit organisation, committed to learning alongside experienced creative professionals. Over that time I progressed through Web Developer, Head of Digital, and Client Services Director to Chief Operating Officer, responsible for translating the director\'s vision into day-to-day execution across the business. I later held Head of Marketing and Operations Manager roles at a Bristol-based digital marketing agency before founding tinybox creative in 2024. Today, I work with service-based businesses across the UK, helping them close the gap between the quality of their work and how they present themselves online and beyond.
