ABOUT MIKE CULVER
Executive and entrepreneur who combines experience working with early stage companies, assisting governments develop public-private partnerships, and building marketing campaigns for social enterprises. Mike is the founder of 1Row, a strategy consulting firm focused on sustainability, community development, and ESG investing. Prior to launching 1Row, Mike co-founded Medora Ventures in 2012 which he operated until the company’s acquisition in 2019. Mike also worked at the President\'s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition and the BGR Group. Mike graduated from the University of Virginia, where he was a 2x NCAA national champion in lacrosse and Academic All American. He also graduated from the Executive Program in Social Enterprise at the Stanford Business School. In 2006, Mike was named Major League Lacrosse (MLL) NewBalance Sportsman of the Year for his charitable work. In 2010, Mike was recognized by the White House as a Next Generation Leader and in 2015 the World Economic Forum selected him as a Global Shaper. Mike lives in Boston with his wife, Jess, their son, Isaac, and cat, Raoul.
