Upon nearing completion of an initial assignment to negotiate the re-baseline of a group high-profile and troubled contracts between the company and the UK National Health Service (NHS), my role has been expanded to include commercial management responsibility for our global health care and finance services businesses. The offering set extends through the entire value chain, from highly complex design and development to standard license deals. The value of the businesses is on the order of £1.6BN across 7 global regions. The new GBS team is taking on more focused commercial support for this scope, which has begun with leveraging synergies to cope with the various skill and volume challenges presented.
