ABOUT MIKE CLEMENTS

I have spent my career helping organisations achieve change for the better.Understanding the opportunity and constraints, working through ideation & conceptualisation, delivery, and ongoing management to improve products and services.I\'m an odd duck as I have fulfilled many roles and positions, in those roles I am referred to as an excellent leader & mentor, lateral thinker, marketeer, pragmatic architect, delivery manager, political advocate, evangelist & futurist.My love of being challenged has caused me to develop as a jack of many trades and master of a few, but what it boils down to is I am a trusted advisor. My key skill is the ability to develop trust in both myself personally, and in the groups and organisations I represent.Leader - I\'m told I\'m very likeable, but more importantly people want to work with, and for, me. I develop a strong team culture & morale, and provide the accountability and clarity people need to thrive.I embrace diversity in people, ideas, and approaches to achieve a meritocracy.Strategy - I am an experienced management consultant with specialities in knowledge management, technology and business strategy development. I drive change in the people, process, technology, and a strong sense of risk analysis & management to position an organisation for success. Playing the whole chessboard, I make tactical changes as necessary to achieve the outcomes I promise.I am not afraid to make disruptive changes if they are beneficial and necessary, I work to gain adoption through understanding, and then put in place processes to ensure we continually measure and improve.Evangelism - I am passionate about my work and the products & services we deliver, I always want us to be better. As I constantly learn, I love sharing ideas over a coffee, in the boardroom, or in a open forum.Management - I always have an eye on both the value proposition (cost/benefit), the schedule, and the financials whilst ensuring that my stakeholders are in the game, not on the sidelines. But most importantly I ensure that the outcome that we care about most, is delivered in a good state and that the rate of change is sustainable.I value integrity, loyalty, transparency, and honesty; and would characterise myself as a calm, meticulous individual. I\'m not easily shaken and when I get something wrong I try to always be the first to put my hand up.I am pragmatic about what \"good enough\" looks like, I encourage lateral thought and don\'t constrain myself or my peers by what we have \"always done\".
