Founding Director | Design Leadership An award-winning landscape architecture and urban design studio established in 2010. I lead design excellence across the practice while helping shape its long-term direction, culture, and legacy.My role includes design leadership, mentorship, and strategy. I focus on influencing projects where clarity of vision, ambition, and quality matter most, while creating the conditions for talented people to do their best work. I believe the significance of a project is not measured by scale, but by its impact on people and place.My expertise includes large-scale masterplanning, urban design, education and leisure projects, and planting-led landscapes informed by ecological principles. I have a particular interest in biodiversity, natural succession, wilding, low-maintenance planting, and water-sensitive design.Alongside project work, I play a key role in setting and protecting OOBE’s design standards, contributing to critique, review, and continuous improvement. Developing others is central to my leadership approach - mentoring emerging designers, supporting future leaders, building resilience, and encouraging curiosity, confidence and challenge within the studio.As a founding director, I contribute to strategic decisions around growth, recruitment, values, and how the practice responds to long-term challenges such as sustainability, climate resilience, and social wellbeing. I work closely with clients, stakeholders, consultants, and communities, placing strong emphasis on brief development, collaboration, and long-term value.I lead by example, valuing trust, autonomy, and honesty over control.
