Principal Relationships:As a technical authority for Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), working with technical and product architecture teams to ensure a successful migration/integration of Symantec Enterprise Division (SED) products to Broadcom SaaS platform. Working within cross-functional project teams (typically with representation from product management, software development, infrastructure, QA, Security and Operations) to deliver strategic product enhancements. Using knowledge and experience to ensure the technical design and delivery meet platform standards while removing obstacles and driving a successful outcome across the group.Principal Accountabilities- Discovering and understanding business drivers and objectives, and helping develop strategies for platform provisioning and migration that would enable SaaS SED products to achieve them- Maintaining technology and security standards, processes and policies relating to the SaaS SED platform- SaaS Operations lead role in project delivery, working across various groups to ensure the business benefits are successfully recognised- Assessing emerging technologies and changes to the vendor landscape, identify opportunities and formulate strategies to respond- Refining best practice and standard processes to simplify the management and reduce the cost of the platform- Providing detailed design, build documentation and automation as well as training and mentoring to Operations in order to improve the capability of the team- Ensuring scalability of the platform, anticipating growth and planning to address it ahead of need- Providing technical support for escalated or critical issues, ensuring that knowledge is retained within the Operations teams and subsequent Problem Management activities are identified and completed- Assisting Capacity Management groups with the planning and management of operating costs, ensuring accuracy of forecasts and identifying opportunities for cost optimisation
