As a communications consultant to Pact, an Adoption Alliance, an organization that serves adopted children of color and their families, I advise the Executive Director, board, and staff on a broad range of print and online communications. I was the manuscript editor for the 2nd edition of \"Inside Transracial Adoption,\" the seminal book by Pact co-founders Beth Hall and Gail Steinberg. For five years I served as Editor of Pact\'s Point of View, their quarterly print publication.

ABOUT MICHELE RABKIN
The throughline between my various professional identities is the drive to facilitate communication and understanding. As a communications consultant, writer, and editor, I help individuals and organizations clearly articulate and achieve their goals. I write and edit website copy, blog posts, promotional materials, fundraising appeals, annual reports, job manuals, articles, and book manuscripts. I have prepared numerous successful grant proposals to foundations and government agencies, and have helped individuals write artist\'s statements and apply for jobs, promotions, and graduate programs. I have a strong background in higher education and the arts, and with issues related to race and adoption. As an administrator in the non-profit sector, I brought a collaborative leadership style to strategic planning; program development, management, and assessment; budget management; event planning; public relations; and fundraising. I am an experienced public speaker and discussion leader, and a trained DEI workshop facilitator.As an artist, I write fiction and perform works written by myself and by others.
