I have always been fascinated by how people make meaning; in their lives, in their words and in their actions. What familial, cultural, educational and experiential things brought them to believe what they believe? What are the stories they tell themselves? Traveling across three continents and through a few cultures as a baby made me aware that there are more choices than may people think.So began my lifelong love of communications and anthropology, to find the commonalities that we all share and the messages that can break through. Along the way I fell in love with analytics, so that I could make sense of the patterns and test conclusions.Social media is a constant fascination for me as it breaks down traditional boundaries and rules and throws ideas and conversations into the public sphere, where they may become something all together different. Now how people make meaning takes on a whole new dimension as our cultural tools transform our socialization.
