ABOUT MICHAEL PHAM
I\'m a Marketing Manager at Thrive Career Wellness Inc- a Canadian HRTech SaaS startup with an award-winning platform that helps people move their careers forward. I love to apply my passion and expertise in marketing, operations, creative design, and technology to solve real-world problems and drive growth. I also have a diverse background across different industries and sectors, including experiences in the education space, non-profits, and sports and entertainment marketing and events. My interests as a photographer, designer, and videographer influence my design and strategic creativity, which I apply in my approach to brand marketing. As the first marketing hire, I have over 5 years of experience building the function to help enable growth within the HRTech and Human Resource Services space. I contributed to and supported growth across various business units with marketing initiatives, helping increase the user/customer base, developing the brand, and building out MarTech and Marketing Operations.Outside of work, I enjoy positively impacting the community, where I volunteer my time and breadth of expertise by working with non-profit organizations such as the CCYAA (Canadian Chinese Youth Athletic Association) in various capacities, primarily in special events and initiatives. My focus is co-organizing the annual Celebrity Classic charity basketball game featuring Simu Liu and Jeremy Lin, an event that builds community and celebrates many aspects of Asian culture.I have also spent 6 years on the Board of Advisors for AIESEC in TMU, one of the local chapters of the world\'s largest non-profit that develops youth leadership by facilitating cross-cultural exchange opportunities.
