ABOUT MICHAEL R. PHILLIPS

Technology is a word that describes something that doesn\'t work yet.\"-Douglas Adams Which is why I have spent the majority of my career in IT Service Management, to make sure that your technology works for you. Whether creating something new or keeping the old machine running, I\'ve been a part of a whole lot of dreaming, making, delivering, breaking, fixing, and maintaining IT products. That sounds a lot like homeownership or playing in a band. Outside of work I almost always have a hat on. Like many organizations looking to optimize their talent and reduce costs, they have to rely on talent that can wear many hats. Throughout my career, I have done exactly that. Always wearing many hats, helping where there is an opportunity, need, or a problem to be solved. Always able to adapt, blend and execute the functions of many roles in IT. I am driven by people, learning, and solving challenges, and different opportunities have helped me achieve that. Most recently I helped stand up a new ServiceNow platform with my Acuity colleagues while planning for migrating existing customers from the old platform as well as bringing on new ones. I provided project management, business analysis, testing, and process engineering among other hats I wore supporting the client.
