I signed on with Liberty during a time of significant change and leadership turnover to help refocus our teammates on the future and establish a new, people-first mindset. As leader of our new People Experience & Culture team, I worked directly with our executive team to reimagine the way they shared information and unified people across the company. Our team put in place a data-driven, human-centric approach to the way we talked to, treated, and celebrated each other. We designed a series of leadership workshops to drive successful transitions. And we published a leadership philosophy that instilled a culture of trust, appreciation, and belonging, including a leadership effectiveness index to chart our progress. While there, I also assembled and led an engagement advisory panel that informed and upgraded our strategy for capturing the voices of our teammates, resulting in a 12-point increase in overall engagement in six months. I also led a design team that took a progressive approach to rebuilding the company’s core values—a collaboration resulting in five new values and supporting behaviors that represented teammates in all departments.
