ABOUT MICHAEL VEREB

I am a driven double-major in Accounting and International Business at Loyola University Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business Honors Program passionate in accounting, politics, and law. My experience crosses numerous industries including retail management, political offices, and corporate accounting. At Wegmans Food Markets, I transitioned my high school cashier job into a supervisor role, where I gained critical management experience at Fortune’s #3 Best Company to Work For. As a District Office Intern with the U.S. House of Representatives, I handled non-political constituent service cases, serving as a liaison between the public and over 200 federal agencies the office worked with. Currently, as a Finance and Accounting Intern at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, I am constantly exploring the intersection of two fields I am passionate about: accounting and law. I work with the Office of the CFO to prepare reports and analysis for key decision makers at one of the world’s largest law firms. Proficient in numerous systems critical to accounting positions, I am driven by a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn. My cross-industry experience reinforces my ability to thrive in diverse workplaces and environments.
