ABOUT MICHAEL MOONEY

A career journey that has spanned across multiple aspects of business including; consumer facing product specialist, brand management, marketing strategy, senior management and key accounts has given me a strong understanding of supplier, customer and consumers needs. Having graduated from business school in Ireland I emigrated to Toronto in 2010. Going on to hold bar and restaurant management positions at some of Canada’s finest. From there it was on to become the National Brand Ambassador for the worlds top trending whisky Monkey Shoulder. I oversaw the strategy for the Canadian launch and was the face of the brand for 3+ years in Canada. Hosting events, speaking with media and leading product education nationally whilst also cutting my teeth as assistant brand manager. After officially taking the leap into brand management I have since gone on to hold positions as national brand manager for Distell’s premium spirits portfolio, as well as Innovation Brand Manager for William Grant & Sons. I now hold the position of National Senior Manager Key Accounts where I specialize on managing a national team, national budget as well as being responsible for strategy development for customers across the entire PMA portfolio of brands including Jack Daniels, Hendricks Gin and Jägermeister. I have overseen new product launches, created exciting and engaging fully TTL media / retail marketing campaigns as well as developed local brand plans and strategies for some of the worlds top Bev Alc brands. All whilst delivering the financial budget & sales ambitions and successfully managing my team. In my spare time I am a consistent meditator who enjoys adventuring locally and internationally. I also have the ability to work in Canada, Europe and the UK.
