Savannah Resources Plc is a London Stock Exchange (AIM) listed mining development enterprise, operating in in the European energy transition space (and formerly, the Middle East and Africa). As CFO, Business Partner and advisor to the Board, I lead the finance, legal, tax, insurance, IT, HR, risk management, regulatory compliance and back office functions. Part of my role is to manage relationships with all back-office outsourced professional services, supporting investor relations, strategy development and corporate governance. Key Contributions- Led commercial planning, legal, and regulatory tasks to raise funds and progress project portfolio, raising £60m to advance project portfolio over 10 years over 7 occasions- Managed project to streamline annual report processes, reducing cycle time by 75%, receiving best in class feedback from auditors, reducing audit fees, and becoming first AIM listed Company to report- Delivered timely environmental licence approval for Portuguese mine, planning public consultation communications and boosting share price to provide a platform to secure funding- Determined pricing and led / co-led negotiations to acquire of divest projects, delivering 4 acquisitions totalling £30m, 4 divestments at £13m and agreement to operate and earn-in to globally significant project via a joint venture with mining ‘major’ Rio Tinto Plc.
