Appointed fifth President of Eastern Gateway Community College (EGCC) by the Board of Trustees on July 15, 2020. EGCC is the fastest growing community college in both Ohio and nationally serving students in all 50 states. Since serving as Interim President before being appointed President, accomplished the following: Led the College’s response to COVID-19 and transitioned to a fully online delivery model. Hired a new Vice President for Academic Affairs. Increased Spring and Summer year-over-year enrollment by over 40%. Created the Office of Institutional Diversity. Established the EGCC Summer Guarantee, offering free college to residents of Jefferson, Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull Counties. Launched a new social work degree program. Managed the $65 million budget, in the face of state cuts to higher education, without laying off/furloughing employees or cutting services. Secured the purchase of the Health Care Workforce Building and the Thomas Humphries Hall in downtown Youngstown. Revitalized the College’s marketing efforts with new partnerships, advertisements and strategies.
