ABOUT MICHAEL FOAT

I support the global strategic planning and execution of Unilever’s Cyber Security Awareness Programme, which spans office-based employees, factory teams, and Acquired Businesses — including brands such as Olly, SmartyPants, Blueair, Nutrafol, and Onnit. My role ensures alignment with our Human Risk Management strategy and seamless integration with risk-mitigating technologies, such as phishing simulation platforms, behavioural analytics tools, and secure collaboration systems.I design and deliver targeted initiatives and campaigns that promote secure working practices and embed positive security behaviours across all levels of the organisation. Using behavioural science techniques such as nudging, gamification, and storytelling, I tailor messaging to suit different roles, functions, and risk profiles. I collaborate on the development of training materials - including e-learning, videos, and awareness sessions - and actively support the growth of our security ambassador network by providing guidance and resources to build local capability.I maintain a register of key human risks and behaviours, analyse behavioural data and cultural maturity metrics, and provide insights to continuously improve programme effectiveness. I work closely with functional and engagement stakeholders to ensure our initiatives are integrated and aligned. I also stay informed on emerging trends in cyber security, behavioural science, and organisational change, applying new insights to strengthen programme delivery.
