The role of the HAWC Analyst, Expert includes: • Support Operations Supervisor duties as delegated, including coverage as acting Ops Supe, filling open shifts for Supervisors, coordinating with PSS and drafting/sending Everbridge notifications, Incident Reports and other notifications as needed• Coordinate daily monitoring operations and ensure consistency with HAWC policy, standards and guidelines• Run daily reports in the morning as designated• Guide Analysts during monitoring operations, including coverage for breaks/training, handling low-level needs and advising leadership when issues arise• Collaborate and assist Senior Analysts as new incidents develop, including monitoring support, notification calls and collecting incident details• Help identify and track technical issues as well as lead technical support during tech down events to provide operational workarounds and guidance • When staffing the night Expert role, serve as first-level leadership to escalate incidents to On-Call Supervisor as needed; the Expert on duty at night has the delegated authority to notify Functional Areas, engage with PSS’s and any other needed response, including drafting and sending HAWC Alerts• Participate in HAWC Leadership meetings as appropriate• Contribute to the development of a successional plan allowing for Senior-level Analysts to gain experience at the Expert level• Support HAWC Leadership during EOC activation by filling EOC position as Designated• Monitor and manage HAWC email inbox; handle requests, forward to staff accordingly and file in appropriate folder• Work with Expert partners on daily operational topics, program areas and continued position development• Be able to perform all Senior HAWC Analyst duties as described below and fill in as necessary to support staffing of Analyst duties
