ABOUT MICHAEL CAPTON
More than 20 years ago I entered visual effects, cutting my teeth in commercials before expanding into television and film. The commercial world taught me to diligently get things done quickly and efficiently without sacrificing quality. Working in small to mid size companies I\'ve done most everything and am a strong overall 3D generalist, with an in-depth knowledge of Maya. My abilities include, but are not limited to; modeling, texturing, rigging, effects dynamics, hair/fur/cloth dynamics, lighting, animation, breaking out renders, tracking. My background and education are in fine art, giving me a firm foundation in traditional techniques and skills. Once I ventured into 3D, I found I could pick up different programs quite quickly and can incorporate new tools and techniques into an established pipeline. I have an even-keeled personality that lends itself well to leading a team of artists or taking direction and working collaboratively in fast-paced, stressful environments.
