The SAAS Emergency Capability Coordinator reports to the Operations Manager, Emergency Management and Planning (EMAP) and is responsible for leading and coordinating development of SAAS Emergency management and disaster capabilities, including incident response, command and ambulance specialist capability teams (inluding Metropolitan and Country Emergency Operations, EOC, SOT, MedSTAR, Non-Emergency Services). The Emergency Capability Coordinator will- Develop training material and resources in accordance with a training needs analysis, industry best practice. Delivery of online and face-to-face education including emergency management courses and simulations- Implement a SAAS Lessons Management framework to meet state emergency management requirements and support organisational continuous improvement- Provide subject matter expertise and advice to all levels of staff to ensure SAAS meets legislative requirements as required of the Ambulance Services Functional Support Group responsibilities.Key Result Area and Responsibilities- Incident Management and Coordination - Emergency Management Training and Resources- Lessons Management System- Lead and manage projects related to improving incident management capability.
