ABOUT MICHAEL AZARI
Michael E. Azari attended the University of Texas at Austin, graduating in 2013 with a B.A. in Government and a Business Foundations Certificate from the McCombs School of Business. Immediately following his undergraduate education, Michael attended the University of Houston Law Center. Throughout law school, Michael competed in several events including the American Bar Association Negotiation Competition with the Alternative Dispute Resolution team and the Hippard Novice Mock Trial Competition as a finalist. He also remained active in his Student Bar Association by serving as his class representative and event coordinator. During law school, Michael clerked for the Harris County District Attorney’s Office Asset Forfeiture Division, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center’s Legal Services Department, The Hadi Law Firm Personal Injury Department, and Tilton & Tilton Litigation Department. While honing several distinct aspects of the law over the course of his legal education, his most compelling interest remains in Health Law & Policy. He soon was brought in-house to Memorial Hermann, the largest regional not-for-profit hospital system, where he continues to accrue valuable experience with HIPAA, Patient Privacy, and Cybersecurity. Michael is a native Houstonian, hailing from the southwest side of the city. He earned his Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America, where he learned the value of volunteering in his community. In his free time, Michael writes music with his friends, restores vintage cars with his father, and explores Houston’s diverse restaurant scene with his wife, Dr. Nicole Christians.
