ABOUT NICK ESTES
I’m a second-year candidate for a Master of Science in Health Administration (MSHA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. With an undergraduate background in both Health Administration and Political Science, I hold significant interest in pediatric healthcare, patient experience, health policy/government relations, and employee engagement efforts. My “why” is derived from a lifelong love for people- I’ve chosen to pursue a career in hospital operations because of the unparalleled opportunity to provide hope for individuals who need it the most. My experiences as a mentee at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and an administrative intern at both Memorial Hermann and UAB have deepened my appreciation for the human factor that makes excellent patient care possible, and I look forward to contributing to healthcare environments that are both competent and compassionate as I begin my career in this space.
