ABOUT ANGELA MELVIN

I am a strongly accredited Senior IT Program Manager with 20 years experience of delivering complex IT projects and business change, and direct responsibility for large multi-functional project teams of up to £5m budget. I have a track record of rescuing high-profile projects that were running at risk and gaining stakeholder confidence rapidly. I am passionate about delivering robust solutions that provide strong business benefits and align with business strategy, and enjoy creating a collaborative culture on projects to get the best out of project team members. I have demonstrable evidence of delivering challenging projects to aggressive timescales and rescuing troubled projects. My experience includes all stages of the project life cycle, from inception to completion. I ensure project success is achieved by: Making use of best practice project management methods to keep projects on track against budgets and timescales, ensuring that quality and governance requirements are met. Maintaining focus on project objectives and expected benefits throughout the project to ensure these remain valid and within reach. Developing strong relationships within project teams (internal and external) to get the best from staff and manage the expectations of sponsors, stakeholders and business partners effectively. Having come from a technical background, I have strong problem solving skills and an ability to rapidly get to grips with complex technology solutions.
