ABOUT MELVILYN EDWARDS

Melvilyn is a senior human resources executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience across manufacturing and energy organizations. She serves as Chief Human Resources Officer at Zeus Company LLC, where she leads the global HR function and sets the enterprise people strategy supporting domestic and international operations.A trusted advisor to senior leadership, Melvilyn partners closely with the executive team to align human capital strategies with business objectives, enabling growth, organizational effectiveness, and operational performance. Her expertise spans talent acquisition and retention, leadership and workforce development, performance and succession management, employee relations, and total rewards, with a consistent focus on building scalable, high-performing organizations.Prior to Zeus, Melvilyn spent more than 15 years at Duke Energy in a variety of senior HR leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Director of Human Resources for the Generation & Transmission organization and as HR Business Partner to the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. She also led the Employee Relations and HR Consulting Services functions, developed and delivered leadership development programs, and held multiple HR leadership roles supporting both union and non-union populations through significant organizational change and transformation.Melvilyn began her career in engineering and production management with Milliken & Company, Corning Incorporated, and Tyco Healthcare. Known for her strategic mindset, operational rigor, and collaborative leadership style, she is passionate about building high-performing organizations, strengthening leadership capability, and aligning people strategies with business outcomes.A native of Denmark, South Carolina, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Human Resources from the University of South Carolina.
