ABOUT MELIS KARAHAN
I am a visionary leader, known for delivering impactful outcomes through a design thinking mindset and a keen business sense, all while maintaining a holistic perspective in change management. My passion lies in understanding customer challenges and then solving them by driving positive change for all stakeholders involved. I especially enjoy creating solutions at the intersection of strategy, human psychology and technology. To accomplish this, I focus on qualitative and quantitative data as well as market trends and insights. As a seasoned business woman, I have held many executive positions throughout my career in marketing strategy, product development, product management and change management. Here is what I have distilled from my personal and professional experience so far: I specialize in delivering innovative solutions that facilitate profound transformations for companies and individuals. To achieve this, I primarily utilize Design Thinking principles alongside a methodology I developed during my MBA studies at the University of Cambridge, UK (Change Explorer®). My background as a Change Practitioner and a Behavior Change Specialist also help. I love developing people as much as I love developing innovative products or coming up with customer-centric solutions. As a people-centric leader, I am quite skilled at building high achieving agile teams that can make things happen by approaching complex problems iteratively and incrementally. Additionally, I am a big fan of Howard Gardner’s work on deep thinking, understanding, intelligence, creativity, and ethics. I am fascinated by his approach on good grits (ie. multiple intelligences) but more so on good wits (ie. good moral values). I find deep joy in being part of projects where I can utilize my skills to help create positive change for organizations, leaders and professionals by addressing the right problems with the right solutions.
