ABOUT MELIS KARABULUTOGLU

I help emerging biotech companies across Europe build strong foundations using Veeva Basics, working as a long-term partner rather than a traditional BD rep. With a scientific background (DPhil Oncology) and experience in biotech partnerships & operations, I love sitting at the intersection of science, people, and growth.A highlight of my role is helping build the VB Community; a network of biotech leaders who come together to share insights, learn from one another, and build real relationships. Early-stage biotech can feel isolated, and creating spaces where execs can openly discuss challenges is something I care deeply about. Community, trust, and connection are just as important as tools and processes.I support markets across the UK/I, Switzerland, the Nordics, and Germany, partnering closely with founders and teams to understand what “good” looks like for their stage and helping them scale with purpose. Before Veeva, I worked across operations, fundraising support, and strategic partnerships, which gives me a grounded perspective on how lean biotech teams actually work. I bring empathy, structure, and curiosity to every conversation.Outside of work, I’m a HYROX athlete and outdoor explorer. The athlete mindset, consistent, focused, and growth-oriented guides how I show up both in BD and in the communities I help build.
