ABOUT MEHMET BAŞAR MUTLU

Experienced project engineer and project manager with over 15 years of cross-functional EPC project experience in the commercial and industrial sectors globally. Following completion of a Master of Science degree and 3 years of research work in Turkey, entered the CB & I Training Program (CTP) of McDermott as a Civil/Structural engineer in The Netherlands and later the United Kingdom working on both onshore and offshore projects for the oil and gas industry. Finished the CTP in the United States planning construction of LNG projects before transitioning to an LNG project site in Hackberry, LA where responsibilities included leading multiple disciplines, from mobilization and earthworks to mechanical construction and pre-commissioning. Relocated to Houston, TX, as a project engineer in Cassia Compression Project in 2019 managing delivery of pipe fabrication scope and later leading package management team for the project through rotations to the fabrication yard in Altamira, MX, until platform sail-away. In 2021 joined Tilenga project in London as a project manager for McDermott\'s EPSCC scope. Improved project management skills on all phases of major EPC projects holding various leadership roles and delivering complex packages. In 2023, joined Wood as a project manager for execution of Wood\'s integrated project management services (IPMT) contract with a client on a major blue hydrogen project where responbilities included management of project\'s marine terminal scope. Seeking continued growth through exposure in the project management field by taking on increased responsibility while working under experienced leaders.
