ABOUT MEGHNA VERMA

I am a Quantitative Systems Pharmacologist with 5+ years of model-informed drug development (MIDD), specializing in mechanistic QSP, PK/PD, exposure-response modeling to advance internal and clinical dose decision-making.At AstraZeneca, I was involved in the development of mechanistic trimer based QSP platform for T-cell engager (TCE) use in autoimmune diseases (e.g, RA, Lupus), and help with the development of a cytokine release model. I have contributed towards viral dynamics model to guide IND enabling dose rationale in the PROVENT and TACKLE infectious disease programs. My modeling directly supported EVUSHELD’s Emergency Use Authorization and IND filings. In addition, I combine mechanistic insight with the rigor of ICH-compliant documentation. I’ve developed reproducible modeling templates adopted company-wide to standardize regulatory reporting and cross-program consistency. My strength lies in translating complex mechanistic data into actionable strategies: optimizing dosing, bridging translational gaps, informing early clinical trial design, and enabling cross-functional alignment with Clinical Pharmacology, Biosciences, Safety sciences, and interactions with Regulatory teams.I also mentor junior modelers, lead the SysMod community (SysMod, an ISCB COSI) initiatives, and actively contribute to the field through publication and conference presentations (ACoP, ASCPT and ISCB). I’m integrating AI enabled tools to accelerate the processes of model development, literature synthesis, and model reproducibility.
