ABOUT MEGAN PRYCE
I\'m a graphic designer, illustrator, and painter originally from Detroit, with over 10 years of experience in branding, visual communication, and the arts. I spent 17 years in Chicago, where—after earning my BFA in Painting and Drawing —I was fortunate to land a part-time job at a brand agency. That early experience sparked a lasting passion for visual storytelling, which ultimately led me to pursue a Master\'s Degree in Visual Communication at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Basel Academy of Art and Design in Switzerland.During this time, I worked with agencies including Digitas LBi, VSA, IDEO, and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater, contributing to branding, advertising, and campaign work. A few years into my career, and in the middle of my twenties, I followed a strong desire to travel. I spent eight months exploring Europe and Asia, participating in a printmaking residency in Venice, Italy, and a painting residency in Guangzhou, China. While abroad, I continued to freelance for Chicago-based institutions, creating a digital mural for the 150 Media Stream in Riverside Plaza, editorial illustrations for ArtAsiaPacific Magazine, and artwork for the Blackstone Hotel. In 2016, I returned to Chicago and joined IA Collaborative, where I spent seven years leading user research and experience design projects for clients including Google, FedEx, Nike, Eli Lilly, and Airbnb. This role significantly deepened my expertise in design strategy, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.Post-pandemic, I returned to my roots in branding and have since worked with clients in creative industries such as fashion, fitness, film, and cannabis. I especially enjoy collaborating closely with clients-guiding them through workshops and kickoff sessions that make the process feel personal, engaging, and creatively fulfilling. My branding deliverables often include bespoke typography, logos, iconography, ADA accessibility guidelines, photography systems, illustrations, clothing patterns, packaging, and more.Today, I split my time between Detroit and Mexico City, where I maintain an active painting and clothing studio. I\'m always seeking new creative outlets. With a background in letterpress printing, I\'ve recently been exploring risograph printing, micro-publishing, textiles, and embroidery-constantly expanding my practice and collaborating with others who share a passion for thoughtful, imaginative design.I\'d love the opportunity to bring my multidisciplinary background and creative energy to your team and projects!
