Serve as the first point of contact for customers, providing excellent customer service and care to insureds.Answer all incoming inquiry calls directed by the general switchboard.Receive and intake new initial claim documentation via phone, email, or fax, and enter it into claim systems.Respond to insureds promptly and direct questions to the appropriate department contact.Input new claims into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and create written documentation, including physical files for manual storage.Review insurance policy information to determine coverage.Complete data entry for all first reports of injury and assess injury severity, advising the appropriate staff within standard operating procedures.Communicate with insureds, agents, internal, and external stakeholders as needed.Assist examiners in contacting insureds or other involved parties to obtain missing or incomplete information.
