Worked with outside tax advisors on valuation added tax (VAT) planning, customs planning, and new entity creation with members of the supply chain and accounts payable departments. Worked with outside tax advisors in the overall transfer pricing strategy and intercompany arrangements. Maintained tax calendar to ensure on-time tax filings, including annual report filings, quarterly income tax estimates, sales and use, European VAT, and property tax compliance. Provided support for payroll tax reporting and related matters. Prepared the quarterly reporting to support Apellis’ eligibility for the tax incentive from the Massachusetts Life Science Center (MLSC).
