ABOUT MCGARRIT FRANCO

My diverse experience in the hospitality industry for 20 years has allowed me the ease to adapt into many different styles of service, cuisine, and business models. I worked for corporate restaurants early in my career and have most recently had the pleasure of working with 2-time James Beard award winning chef, Guillermo Pernot for over 8 years and Todd English. I have studied with Jay Youmans MW to complete my WSET advance certification. When I moved to Philadelphia I kept up with current trends and also became part of the United States Bartenders Guild. Living in DC I continue with my memberships in the USBG along with the DC Craft Bartenders Guild. Currently I\'m studying for my CSS through the Society of Wine Educators and also my graduate level WSET. Working with Cuba Libre as Beverage Manager in Washington, DC and Atlantic City gave me an opportunity to not only explore the diversity with brands but also the creativity of composing cocktail menus and wine list for all Cuba Libre Restaurants. Continuing my growth I moved on to becoming the General Manager for the flagship restaurant in Philadelphia. Moving back to DC and working with The One Group I was focused on all aspects of beverage operation and assist the General Manager in daily operations. Now working with Republic National Dist. Co allows me to educate, train, and continue my education.
