ABOUT MAUREEN PIGGINS

Design can fill spaces and minds with wonder, can inspire, inflame, inform and move to action. It’s about human connection and stories, and the beautiful or unexpected forms they take. I am a creative director, strategist and designer, experienced in leading integrated marketing and branding campaigns and sustainability communications for global and national clients, ensuring clear communication across internal and external creative, marketing, sustainability and executive teams. Being a designer who is also a writer and artist, I create across disciplines to shape rich, human brand narratives. Over my career, I have had the opportunity to create meaningful work for a wide range of clients including Panasonic, Manulife, Rogers, CIBC, Queen’s University, Women\'s College Hospital Foundation, Humber College, Algoma University, Meridian, Plan Canada, Baycrest and the Textile Museum, among others. My experience spans multiple roles, from creative direction and strategy to branding and design across a variety of sectors, from corporate and retail to healthcare, financial, professional services, education, arts & culture, non-profit and donor communications. I am invested in bringing out the best in myself, and in the teams I lead and collaborate with. I remain engaged in the design community through mentorship and hold a BFA in Fine Art from OCAD University, with work held in collections including MoMA NY, York University and Bruce Peel Special Collections.
