ABOUT MATTHEW STEPP

Over the past two decades I have been focused on developing a positive & exciting career pathway within various management roles in the fields of Marketing, Sales, Hospitality and Nonprofit Fundraising. Whether in a business suit or a chef coat, I constantly immerse myself in all aspects of the industry. I\'ve worked professionally as a Culinary Manager, Culinary Coordinator, Corporate Restaurant General Manager, Collegiate Dining Service Manager and now currently as the Marketing and Campaign Coordinator for the United Way of Eastern Maine. I\'m naturally drawn to creative and interesting communication methods and find that some of the best Leadership tools include humor and approachability. My Bachelors degree in Mass Communications has been vital in the related promotion and marketing of the businesses from which I\'ve worked. Examples of my focused commitment to success include a selection as a Food Service Management Institute Facilitator, multiple merit based selections to attend the National Association of College and University Food Service Training Institutes including those focused on Marketing, Food Service Management, Facilities Management and Customer Service. Just recently I was directly involved with the creation and marketing with the team at United Way of Eastern Maine to institute an emergency Covid-19 Response Fund, which in turn has raised over dollars that was immediately released back into the community, to fund local non-profits that are helping our community through this ongoing crisis. It feels great to use a creative approach with an amazing team during these unprecedented times.I’m focused and optimistic about my future growth and feel that any connection is a positive one.
