Oriel Systems provides telemetry data collection, process control and vendor managed inventory systems hardware, software development and installation to a variety of industries and public bodies. As the organisations Business Development Manager I am responsible for the national sales team, supply chain management, accreditation acquisition, process and procedure development and general strategic management of the business. Reporting directly to the managing director, my targets are set by the stakeholders and my day to day duties involve liaising with top level management both internally and externally to the organisation.Since joining the company, I have directly and significantly increased both revenue and profitability through direct and indirect supply and installation contracts with public and private sector clients. Also, through introducing and enforcing operational policies and procedures and improving customer and supplier relationships, we have obtained several distribution contracts, whilst improving the organisation’s corporate image, culture and general reputation. This in turn has led to improved conversion rates company wide, meaning a healthier and more secure bottom line.
