ABOUT MATTHEW SHEPHARD

I have over 24 years in the Oil & Gas Industry which has ranged from general labor to middle management. I started my career on the work shop floor in downhole drilling tools and worked my way up the ladder to shift supervisor. My next challenge was working international on a rotational and then to expat status. I have set up international repair facilities and trained local technicians in many different countries. I finished my career at Weatherford completing facility audits, assessing local technicians in competency and presenting hands on and class room training courses around the world. From there I take on my next challenge at a local drilling drilling company and was responsible for maintain a large drilling tool fleet and mentoring direct reports. This gave me more exposure to the operations, asset management, vendor relations and general accounting policies. From there I moved to my next challenge which was Account Manager or outside sales in drilling rig equipment. This gave me not only a new skill set but helped me learn how to build positive relationships with customers. My latest challenge has been learning a completely new skill and industry. For the past 5 1/2 years have been training in the Hot Tap and pipeline isolation industry. All of my previous experience and training has proven to be a asset in my new role.
