Portakabin innovates, manufactures, and delivers exceptional modular buildings across the UK and Europe. The fast-paced, in-house design studio is integral to Marketing the overall success of the business. My role at Portakabin as Creative Manager is to lead the design studio and manage a team of designers, copywriters, photographers, videographers, marketing planners and external agencies to deliver best in class, on-brand creative to our UK and European audiences. The business underwent a multi-million pound re-brand in late 2016 and I was a key player in the success of implementing the new brand across all internal and external touch points, including advertising campaigns, social media and internal communications. I collaborated with Landor, a London-based branding agency (part of the WPP Group) to optimise the brand guidelines and verbal identity to fit our needs and shape the success of the new brand across the UK and Europe, ensuring that others played their part. As a true innovator, I strived to develop new systems and processes to ensure the studio is run with maximum efficiency and 100% accuracy, including digital/online proofing, digital asset management and project management tools to track the 300+ projects per year, ensuring my team meet an on-time, on-budget promise - every time. Whilst at Portakabin I was able to develop my people management skills by successfully completing the Management Development Programme (MDP Level 5) and I’m also currently working on the Leadership Development Programme (LDP Level 7). Both courses have provided me with a wealth of communication skills, coaching and mentoring tools, designed to manage teams of a solid, multi-faceted background in both creative digital design and print, I can truly lead by example and execute engaging campaigns, from concept to click!
