ABOUT SPANDHANA REDDY
I’m a curious and purpose-driven individual who thrives on empathy, creativity, and continuous growth. Currently, I am pursuing an MSc in Psychology at the University of Nottingham, building on my undergraduate foundation in psychology and research.During my undergraduate studies, I co-authored a research paper with a peer exploring the impact of childhood trauma on adolescent behaviour through surveys and an extensive literature review. This experience strengthened my skills in data analysis, critical thinking, and academic writing, while deepening my understanding of developmental psychology. Alongside this, I have completed internships in mental health institutions and organisations, where I gained practical exposure to mental health awareness initiatives, psycho-educational content development, and community-based engagement work. I have also volunteered at the Sadhana Institute for the Intellectually Challenged, supporting individuals with diverse cognitive needs.My college journey also includes formal training in soft skills and logical reasoning, which helped sharpen my communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities. I took on leadership roles like Head of Content for the University Basketball SIG and actively participated in student-led performances and social campaigns.Outside academics, I’m a trained Kuchipudi dancer with a bachelor’s degree in the art, which has taught me discipline, expression, and commitment qualities I carry into every area of life and work. I am often described as empathetic, approachable, and a natural listener.Alongside my academic pursuits, I work as a content creator at Dwell Student Accommodation, where I capture and create student-focused content that highlights community engagement and student well-being. However, my long-term goal remains firmly rooted in psychology and mental health. I am currently seeking opportunities to further develop my career in psychological research, mental health services, and communication training, with a strong commitment to helping individuals reach their full potential — both personally and professionally.
