ABOUT MATT DEAN

I am a business and marketing professional with over 22 years of combined experience in grocery retail management and direct customer marketing. I began my career with Harris Teeter in 2004 as a bagger and since then, I have stressed constant self-growth within the organization. I worked my way through various positions on the front end of the store, including Customer Service Clerk, Assistant Customer Service Manager, Assistant Store Manager, and finally, Co-Manager prior to moving to the corporate office in 2013. Since then, I have held positions as a Promotions Coordinator, Promotions Analyst, VIC Promotions Manager, and my current role as Senior Manager- Customer Relationship Marketing and Market Research. In 2024 I received the Progressive Grocer GenNext Award, which celebrates the next generation of leaders in the grocery industry.I’m passionate about communicating with customers and understanding how we can deliver an exceptional customer experience!I received my MBA from East Carolina University in December, 2016. I completed my undergraduate degree in Business Administration from North Carolina State University in 2009. I am always interested in hearing from current and former colleagues, friends, and other marketing professionals.
