As the Regatta Director for the Big Ten Conference, I oversee and coordinate the annual Big Ten Invitational Regatta and Championship, ensuring top-tier event execution and competitive excellence.Key Responsibilities:Event Coordination: Work with host institutions and head coaches to meticulously plan and manage all aspects of the regatta, including hiring officials, coordinating volunteers, and setting competition schedules.Official Management: Establish and maintain a high-standard corps of officials, selecting judge referees with US Rowing certification or higher to ensure elite officiating standards.Institution Liaison: Collaborate with Big Ten head coaches to codify racing standards, provide event planning support, and ensure logistics run smoothly.On-site Leadership: Lead regatta operations on the day of the event, ensuring everything runs according to plan and addressing any issues that arise.Continuous Improvement: Implement processes that streamline event management, reduce host institution burdens, and promote consistency across all Big Ten rowing events.Achievements:Successfully directed multiple Big Ten Invitational Regattas(\'22,\'23,\'24) and Championships(\'19 & \'24), elevating the standard of collegiate women’s championship rowing events.Developed and maintained strong relationships with officials, coaches, and volunteers, contributing to the success and reputation of Big Ten Conference women\'s rowing.
